Mineral

"Mineral" could refer to at least four bands, an emo band from Houston, Texas, Armenian rock music veterans from Jermuk and another one from Boston. 1) Mineral formed in 1994 and like other young bands, they toured constantly, virtually living in their van. The band's first release, the 7 inch "Gloria"/"Parking Lot" 7", was released on Audio Concept by Kerry McDonald from Christie Front Drive (the record was later re-released by Caulfield Records). Through a few rabid fans, that 7" found its way into the hands of crank! and Mineral later decided to release their records on the label.

Sideshow

There are 4 or more bands under the name Sideshow: 1) Sideshow was the band of Caulfield founder Bernie McGinn. Originally the band had went under the name of Peer Puppet in the late eighties but decidedly changed right around the release of their first 7 inch. That 7 inch is initially what started Caulfield Records. On top of being the band responsible for the label, they were also a pretty fine sounding one as well. Along with fellow members Paul Tisdale (drums) and Rich Higgins (guitar), Sideshow would release three full-length albums during their time together and a couple 7 inches.

The World Is a Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid to Die

The World Is a Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid to Die are an atmospheric emo / indie rock band from Willimantic, CT. The band was formed in 2009 and has undergone several lineup changes since its inception. TWIABP's now 8 piece lineup writes the songs collaboratively and often on-the-spot with vocal duties shared by 4 members. The band's sound is easily compared to second wave post-emo indie rock bands of the late 90s and early 2000s and their atmospheric moments are often tagged as "post-rock.

Samuel

samuel was a band from state college, pennsylvania. they were active in the mid-1990's, releasing two 7" ep's (self titled and lives of insects) on the label art monk construction. the band also released a split 7" with texas is the reason on the then brittish label simba. samuel definitely played among the crowd of mid-90's 'post hardcore' or 'emo' bands. however, their sound probably owed as much to more straight forward 'indie rock' as it did to any of the member's hardcore roots. the lives of insects ep was released on a cdep with two additional songs.
