The World Is a Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid to Die are an atmospheric emo / indie rock band from Willimantic, CT. The band was formed in 2009 and has undergone several lineup changes since its inception. TWIABP's now 8 piece lineup writes the songs collaboratively and often on-the-spot with vocal duties shared by 4 members. The band's sound is easily compared to second wave post-emo indie rock bands of the late 90s and early 2000s and their atmospheric moments are often tagged as "post-rock.

samuel was a band from state college, pennsylvania. they were active in the mid-1990's, releasing two 7" ep's (self titled and lives of insects) on the label art monk construction. the band also released a split 7" with texas is the reason on the then brittish label simba. samuel definitely played among the crowd of mid-90's 'post hardcore' or 'emo' bands. however, their sound probably owed as much to more straight forward 'indie rock' as it did to any of the member's hardcore roots. the lives of insects ep was released on a cdep with two additional songs.
Braid is an American band from Urbana, Illinois that formed in 1993. After forming, the band went through several line-up changes but eventually settled on Bob Nanna on vocals and guitar, Todd Bell on bass, Chris Broach on guitar and vocals and Roy Ewing on drums. Roy was replaced in 1997 by Damon Atkinson. In 1999 Braid disbanded and went on to form Hey Mercedes with all band members minus Chris Broach (who went on to form The Firebird Band) and adding Mark Dawursk. The band reformed for a US tour in 2004 and, now that Hey Mercedes are defunct, apparently intend to tour sporadically.

Several bands share the name Words. Words is a hardcore punk band from Quebec City, Quebec Canada. Formed at the end of summer 2006, Quebec City's Words was quickly up on its feet and ready to show their local scene what the band is about. Playing their first show only two weeks after their first practice as a complete band, Words still hasn't lost any momentum. It really is no surprise considering the people behind the instruments, though. Words has a very impressive pedigree of bands including Mi Amore, Commando, Nihyl & Monocycle, among others.
