Hyperbubble

Jess takes the stage with Jem-like moves, flashy fashions, and sings superchewydelicious songs that stick to the side of your cranium like a tasty wad of Hubba Bubba. Jeff robotically rocks behind a veritable Death Star of synthetic music-making devices, performing the odd kung fu kick, and when his machines allow for it, Saturday Night Fever hand gestures.
Together, Jess and Jeff whip up a hyperkinetic stage show that you'll never forget.

Grantura

http://www.myspace.com/grantura Born from the ashes of broken bands and midnight jams, Grantura are a vocal harmony driven anglo-americana band with a liking for mandolins, south east London and singing. Grantura have been making steady progress on the UK music scene. Their debut single Waves became single of the week on BBC 6Music's breakfast show. They did a session for BBC Radio 2's Janice Long show in February. They are signed to Ruffa Lane record and a second single will be released in June, followed by the album, In Dreams and Other Stories, in July.

Artist Type:

Scenic

Famed lithographer and record/cd artwork cover artist Bruce Licher's mellow psychedelic rock band Scenic is subtle but potent force from the Sonoran desert that inspired much of the music.
Gentle yet dangerous, Scenic create a vocals-free layered guitar soundscape that tantalizes without ever fully satisfying, thereby creating an unfinished story in the mind of the listener.

Artist Type:

Spider

There are at least seven artists which have used the name Spider: an indie folk singer from New York, United States, a metal band from England, a punk band from Hungary, a lo-fi band from Washington, United States, a ska/rock band from Malaysia, a power pop band from Wallasey, England, a rapper from Mexico. 1. Spider is an alias for Brooklyn musician Jane Herships. Most of the songs on her release The Way to Bitter Lake are hushed, personal songs with elements of shoegazing reminescent of musicians such as Nick Drake and M. Ward.

Barzin

Barzin is a Canadian singer-songwriter named Barzin Hosseini. Slow and melancholic, introspective and confessional: These words in some ways describe the sound of Barzin. A project that began sometime in 1995, Barzin was a solo endeavor at its inception. But somewhere along the way it shed its solitary skin allowing a wide array of characters into it’s sound. From amongst a rotating cast of musicians, who occasionally made appearances on recordings and at performances, three individuals slowly became a fixture of this project.

Thee Moths

Thee Moths are sometimes several, often one. Since forming in 2000 the band has expanded and contracted as needs dictated. Over the last few years Thee Moths has been Alex Botten and whoever he asks to help. The music is just as fractured as the line-up, with recordings and shows going from laptop glitching to acoustic folk as the mood takes. Over 8 years Thee Moths totalled 55 releases on a myriad of labels around the world. Put on ice in July 2008. Warming up again winter/spring 2009....

Feathers

There is more than one artist with this name. 1. http://www.myspace.com/feathersfamily
Looking (and often sounding) as though they've been sent directly from central casting, the psych-folk octet Feathers originate from the same fertile New England climates that generated the wayfaring likes of Tower Recordings and the MV & EE Medicine Show. The arrival of their debut album on Devendra Banhart and Andy Cabic's Gnomonsong label has not gone unheralded...

Ceramic Hobs

The band started in the summer of 1985. Had gone insane by 1988 and by that we mean exile from society, pathologised and sectioned. Four major albums to date - PSYCHIATRIC UNDERGROUND (1998), STRAIGHT OUTTA RAMPTON (2001), SHERGAR IS HOME SAFE AND WELL (2004) and AL AL WHO (2007). All these available on Pumf Records - www.pumf.net. Many other releases on tiny labels worldwide. Constantly shifting band line-up. The Hobs recently severed ties with Pumf and are working on an album entitled OZ OZ ALICE, to be released in 2010. Official band website is at http://ceramichobs.livejournal.com
