BIOGRAPHY Touted as "...'kin Brilliant!" by the Irish Times, The Kinetiks have etched out a solid reputation as the cream of the crop of Ireland's most promising breaking buzz bands. Nominated for the 2FM/Meteor Hope For 2008 Music Award, The Dublin based indie-pop rockers, still in their early 20s came together sharing influences from Beach Boys to The Strokes and The Hollies to The Libertines. Confident, charming, giddy and energetic have been used to describe the group's impressive live performances.

hunz

Hunz is a three-piece electronic pop band, spearheaded by Brisbane-based electronic musician and producer, Hans Van Vliet. With a background in music programming and motion design, Hans pulls his notes out of a binary soup of ones and zeroes, hand-crafting synth patches and beats from scratch. The result is a mix of pulsating, glitchy electronics and ethereal vocals that hint at the sinister, but succumb to the pleasure of pop hooks instead.

Waxahatchee

Solo project of Katie Crutchfield of P.S. Eliot and Bad Banana. Waxahatchee is a solo project of songwriter Katie Crutchfield formed after the breakup of P.S. Eliot. She released her first music as Waxahatchee as a split cassette with chris clavin on Plan-It-X Records. Her bedroom-recorded debut album, American Weekend, was released on Don Giovanni Records in 2012. On June 11, 2012 "Be Good" was the song of the day on NPR as well as one of the best 50 songs of 2012. Her debut album, "American Weekend," was named a top album of 2012 by Dusted magazine.

Isobel Campbell & Mark Lanegan

Isobel Campbell is the former cellist and backup vocalist for Belle & Sebastian, as well as leader of The Gentle Waves. Mark Lanegan used to be the frontman of the Seattle grunge band The Screaming Trees, has recently played with Queens of the Stone Age, and formed together with Greg Dulli The Gutter Twins. Lanegan has also been releasing solo albums since 1990. Together, Campbell and Lanegan form a unique combination of gruff vocals and dulcet voices.

The Social Services

The Social Services are two thirds Glaswegian and one third Swedish, so that explains their combined love of nature and cholesterol. Their nomadic lifestyle and frustration with the world around them inspire them to write songs about war, death, consumerism, being an immigrant, storage solutions, potatoes and swimming. They rant without being shouty and they love it when everybody joins in on the sing-a-long choruses.

Body Language

Busy saving the city from the brick wall arm crossing and the casual head nods, Brooklyn's own Body Language has risen from the DIY venue basements armed with the kinetic dynamite you would expect from the name. Their original music was born from weekly dance party remixes crafted by Grant Wheeler and Matt Young, and graced by the soul stylings of Ms. Angelica Bess. Their efforts, which illustrated their arrival into Brooklyn, were delivered in a five track EP called “Speaks".

Plain White T's

Plain White T's are a pop-punk band formed in 1997 in Illinois, United States. They are best known for "Hey There Delilah", an acoustic song performed solely by singer Tom Higgenson originally released in 2005 and later hit #1 in the US in 2007. For over a decade, Plain White T's have been playing to packed audiences craving for that perfect pop-punk punch.
