Kurt Vile & the Violators

Kurt Vile & the Violators are a rock band from Philadelphia PA, United States. The band draws influences from lo-fi, psychedelic and classic rock. Founded by frontman Kurt Vile (guitar, vocals), the band currently consists of Jesse Turbo (guitar, slide), Mike Zeng (percussion) and Adam Granduciel (guitar, bass). Kurt and Adam have played music together ever since the early 00's with each one contributing to the other's projects, most notably in The War on Drugs which is fronted by Granducial.

1. A psychedelic rock band from US. Their first album, which was recorded in Florida, has become a collectors' item and is full of dual guitar work with the extended track Play the stand out song. They relocated to East Lansing, Michigan and Detroit to record their second album and whilst in Michigan they gigged with several local bands like The Rationals, The Woolies and Ormandy.
Joey Murcia was also connected with Florida bands. Ex-Birdwatchers and went on to play in Life. He later became a renowned studio musician, working with Jay Ferguson, Joe Cocker, the Bee Gees and Joe Walsh.

Valhalla

There are many bands under the name of Valhalla, 10 of them are metal. 1) The best known Valhalla hails from Petrozavodsk, Rusland and has released one album under the name of "Hail To The Fallen Majesty" in 2003. 2) There is another Valhalla originating from Bedfordshire in England from 1979 playing progressive metal. They had two national single releases on the NEAT records label, "Coming Home" and the double A sides of "Jack" and "Still in Love with You" together with tracks on the compilation album sponsored by the popular music paper SOUNDS.

The Crazy World of Arthur Brown In some ways they were first to make psychrock evolve to metal. Surely they were first to wear corpse paint. With their bizarre lyrics, and amazing stage performance they caught the eye of many psychrock fans in the sixties. But not nearly enough to gain fame like Jethro Tull or Syd Barrett, though they are surely as talented. Musically and Lyrically. So time to listen beyond 'I am the God of Hell Fire' and take a trip with the Crazy World of Arthur Brown...
