8otto (the "8" is not pronounced) is a four-member rock band hailing from Osaka, Japan. Originally formed by drummer/vocalist Maenosono Masaki and guitarist Ryo in 1999 as Sugar For A Dime, the band adopted their current name in 2004, and released their first album we do viberation in 2006. To date, all of their studio albums have been produced by Yoshioka Toshikazu (a.k.a. BohQun) who has also written many of their songs.

There are at least five artists with the name Purr: 1) Purr is an independent Japanese rock band that played fantastic music, but seems to have disappeared in December of 2001 after playing a show with other members of the LEE V CLEEF label. 2) Purr is an independent French rock band, but have ceased activity in 2001. They released 2 albums. 二階堂和美/Nikaido Kazumi/Nikaidoh Kazumi was born in Hiroshima where she began performing with local bands in the early nineties. She moved to Tokyo later in the decade to pursue her musical career more seriously. She has collaborated with a wide range of artists and has released a solo album, 'Mata Otoshi-mashita-yo' ('You Dropped Somthing Again, Didn't You?').

POLYSICS

POLYSICS is a Japanese new wave/synth pop/punk/rock band, hailing from Tokyo. The band started in 1997, but got their big break in 1998 at a concert in Tokyo. They create high energy music, fusing conventional guitar music, with synthesized and computer generated sound to create a unique mixture of punk and electro-pop. Their song lyrics often consist of Japanese, English, or just plain gibberish. The band has been noted for their extremely energetic live performances and their wild gimmicky outfits.

There's more than one band/artist with this name. 1) A Japanese rock band. 2) Jason Lo is a Malaysian music artist, music producer, DJ, and media personality. He is sometimes known by the nicknames "LO" and "J Lo". Lo was born in Kuching, Sarawak. He is a mix of Chinese and Irish parentage. He was educated in Singapore and the United Kingdom. He graduated from the University of Hull with a BSc in Accounting, and then did an MBA in Finance in London, before returning to Malaysia to pursue a career in the music industry.
