Crystal Castles is a Toronto, Ontario, Canada based duo consisting of multi-instrumentalist Ethan Kath and vocalist Alice Glass. Named after the Crystal Castle from the She-Ra franchise, they formed in December 2003 as a project started by Kath. In April 2005, Glass recorded vocals for five original instrumentals by Kath. The band's first single was recorded "accidentally": a microphone test by Glass was released through MySpace as "Alice Practice" in September 2005.

Nullsleep creates powerful romantic pop using repurposed low-bit electronics in a relentless search for new ways to circumvent their limitations. In 1999 Nullsleep cofounded 8bitpeoples, a collective of artists interested in the audio-visual aesthetics of early home computers and video game consoles.

Loick Essien is a 20-year-old urban soul singer from Fulham, West London who is signed to Sony. A former child actor,dancer and model, he attended the Sylvia Young Theatre School, and appeared in British TV series and videos for Beyoncé and Big Brovaz, before embarking on a musical career with producer Skillz. Since then, he's appeared on the Bashy single Black Boys. According to the Stuttering Songfacts, Loick released his debut solo single "Love Drunk" in the United Kingdom on October 12, 2010 through Sony Music, where it debuted at #57 in the UK chart.
