Drums: Alex Kay Founded in May 2010, Winterside is a metalcore band from Brisbane, Australia. Heavily influenced by The Red Shore, Parkway Drive and I Killed the Prom Queen, they are bringing a new sound to an overcrowded scene. They have released two demo CD's in 2010 and plan to have an EP released by early 2012.

The idea to create a southern grind band that would up the ante in American grindcore came about in July 2002, exactly one day after the demise of founding members Chris Andrews and James Delgado's sludge band EOTS. Violent, blistering grind seemed like the only interesting option after wandering the destructive quagmire of slow-as-mud riffs and pummeling sound levels for a few years, learning their instruments and gaining stage experience.

They play a mixture of heavy metal, thrash metal and hard rock. They say their music is influenced by Black Sabbath, Guns N Roses, Megadeth, Ozzy Osbourne, Judas Priest, Led Zeppelin, Pantera, Black Label Society and many more classic rock and metal bands and artists. The band released one album: 'Doom$day Profit$' in 2006

The King Hats

The King Hats formed in the latter half of 2007 with their first gig in September '07 at Glasgow’s 13th Note Café. They've since played venues from Inverness to London, along the way supporting Bromheads Jacket, Twisted Wheel, Ida Maria and The Rascals. The highlight of their career so far was playing the T Break stage at 2008’s T in the Park. That weekend also featured an acoustic set recorded for Vic Galloway’s Radio 1 BBC Introducing show. The King Hats are known for their great tunes and their energetic live performances. They truly are an act not to be missed.
