Firing Squad

Firing Squad is the name of at least two bands. This page is for the Polish death metal band Firing Squad. Firing Squad is also an "indie"/punk band from New York, USA formed in 2008. On last.fm they use the id3 artist tag "Firing Squad (NY)" to differentiate themselves from the Polish death metal band of the same name. In all other contexts they are known simply as Firing Squad.

Willem Dafoe

The big WD was birthed back like this in 2000 when four good grade 10 buddies decided to play some metal. We went through some really shitty names and some really shitty eps, but finally settling on Willem Dafoe a year later. Willem Daband has remained a great hobby for its permanent lineup, usually busy with other shit but still finding time to play a couple shows a year and record some tunes. We've grown up in WD and it's grown along with us; from old Hydrahead style metalcore...

Scarce

Formed in 1993 by Chick Graning, Jud Ehrbar, and Joyce Raskin. The trio soon had a major label bidding war. They toured America, Europe, England, and Canada, with much acclaim for their live shows. Their Red Ep was distributed worldwide, landing in the UK charts, with songs like "All Sideways" and "Days like this". In 1995, following a support tour with Hole in Europe and on the verge of seriously breaking it big with their debut album Deadsexy, Chick suffered a brain aneurysm and lapsed into a coma for several weeks.
