Relient K is an American rock band formed in 1998 in Canton, Ohio by Matt Thiessen (lead vocals, guitar, piano), Brian Pittman (bass), and Matt Hoopes (guitar, backing vocals), during the band's junior year in high school and their time at Malone College. The band is named after guitarist Hoopes' automobile, a Plymouth Reliant K car, with the spelling intentionally altered to avoid trademark infringement over the Reliant name.

História skupiny Názov kapely je zložený z iniciálok Táslerovcov. Neskôr sa k nim pridal Mirov spolužiak z kozervatória, Peter Bič (gitara). Po niekoľkých koncertoch a nahratých skladbách sa skupina rozpadla. Svoje prvé demo nahrali Ivan s Mirom v roku 1993. Boli to nahrávky zhudobnených humorných textov Ľubomíra Feldeka. Na nahrávaní s Táslerovcami spolupracoval bubeník Martin Migaš. Niekoľko mesiacov nato sa Miro Tásler s Petrom Bičom znovu pokúsili o nahrávky dvoch Ivanom naspievaných skladieb.

Busted was a pop rock band originating from London, England that consisted of James Bourne, Matt Willis and Charlie Simpson. Their debut single, "What I Go To School For" was released in 2002 and charted at #3. The album Busted followed in September 2002. November 2003 saw the release of their second album A Present for Everyone. Both albums charted at #2 in the UK. A live album, A Ticket for Everyone was released in November 2004.
In 2001, Reading born vocalist and guitarist James Ewers met fraternal twins Saul (bass) and Dylan (guitar) Perryman while attending Reading College and School of Arts and Design (now part of Thames Valley University). Ewers spent the following year working in London’s 12 Bar Club, writing songs on the bus to work, bashing them out in empty midnight slots. In 2003, James, Saul and Dylan came together once again and met Manchester born drummer Sam Stopford at Kingston University in London and formed My Luminaries (after numerous gigs as The Fondas with ex drummer Andrew Harland).
