Amatorski

Amatorski is a young Belgian band formed in 2008 and based in Ghent, with a melancholic and narrative style, and some reminiscences of Portishead, Sigur Rós, or Radiohead. Though their name means 'amateurs', they reached the finals of the Belgian rock contest Rockrally in 2010. The intimate song Come Home hit #1 in 'De Afrekening', the alternative hit chart on radio station Studio Brussel. In 2010 they released the Same Stars We Shared (Amatorski debut) EP. Their debut longplayer TBC was released in May 2011.

Da Lata

Da Lata was originally founded by musician and producer Chris Franck and DJ Patrick Forge in the summer of 1996. The idea for the project was to blend influences with modern sensibility incorporating both and elements in the music. Early experimentation came in the form of remixes rather than original material which proved to be a great way of honing the sound and at the same time gave exposure to the name.

J Davis

J. Davis (the J is for Joey) grew up in a musical family in Oklahoma, getting his first drum set (a Ludwig five-piece) at the age of 10, and inheriting a love of jazz/funk fusion and new sounds from his Dad. He has cited sampling pioneers Art Of Noise and Thomas Dolby as inspirations for his electronic pursuits. Davis's tracks achieve a very unique, natural, and balanced fusion of jazz and electronic elements that transcends the innumerable stylistic subgenres generally associated with jungle.

The Method

At least two artists get directed to this page with auto spelling correction enabled: 1) The Method, a stuttering, confused collection of posh, common, stupid, talentless geniuses has had a career notable for its massive, crashing failures. Destroyed record companies, destroyed studios, nearly burned down tower blocks, torn banjos, smashed ukuleles, furious publicity witches and some of the worst gigs ever seen in the UK this was always a band to be relied upon for gross indecency and the occasional bit of gross vandalism.

DISSIDENT

There are three bands named Dissident.
1) Dissident from Russia.
2) Dissident from Australia.
3) Dissident from Bulgaria. 1) Dissident is the production name of Russian based Stanislav Sevostyanikhin. Residing in St.Petersburg at the Baltic sea shore, he spends most of his time slicing beats, sampling street sounds and creating trends in modern music culture. He is influenced by very different kinds of music that allowed him to produce such diverse and truly innovative tunes.

Cosmic Kids

Cosmic Kids Ron Poznansky and Dan Terndrup didn’t meet in outer space as their DJ moniker may indicate, but the story is still equally as good. The two met in a high school classroom meant for kids who had trouble paying attention. They bonded over their love of classic rock. Right out of high school they both volunteered to work at the Los Angeles radio station KCRW. Known for its eclectic programming, the friends were exposed to all different kinds of music, and began collecting and consuming records, feeding their ever-expanding appetite for music.
