Throwing Snow

One day Throwing Snow woke up imprisioned in a studio somewhere in the south west of England. The air smelt funny, not at all like the fresh air of the north, but it was somehow addictive and sort of green. He tried the door but it was locked from the outside. Thankfully a magic mug meant he had an inexhaustable supply of coffee and people threw sausage and egg sandwiches through the bars on his windows. He resigned himself to the only thing that could keep him sane...writing a tune someone, somewhere may like.

Artist Type:

Andras Fox

Utilizing the sounds of soul and jazz, loose basslines and programming that is opposed to pushing tempos faster, Fox likes to add a raw, rough human element to dance music. A love for vinyl brings a much needed tactile element into his productions, which are heavy on texture and warmth. Spanning jazz, funk, disco, beats, and deep house, Fox's edits and productions are for both the club and the bedroom....

Daughn Gibson

There are moments of genuine noise and terror on singer-songwriter Daughn Gibson's debut solo LP, All Hell, but not of the devil's-horns kind. Instead, the 31-year-old Carlisle, Pennsylvania, resident fashions ghostly, haunting country-ish ballads out of Christian gospel samples and looping audio software while his rich baritone narrates small-town tragedy.
Gibson's affinity for country music-- as well as the genre's cherished storytelling tradition-- began when he started driving trucks for a living nearly a decade ago.
