Bark

Bark is Norwegian born Terje Evensen, drummer and programmer, and New Zealand born (UK based) Angeline Conaghan vocals. The musical world of Bark is a world of electronic sounds, multiple layers of rhythms and atmospheres created from samples of machines, nature, people and transportation, among other sources. Grooving songs of simple bass lines, sweet and soaring melodies, .dark and sometimes politicised lyrics, and virtuoso programming. Pulsing urgent songs filled with subtle timings and phrases.

Parisian hip-hop devotee Laurent Daumail is one of a few but growing number of French artists updating hip-hop for the chill-out crowd, drawing on the beats'n'samples groundwork of producers such as Rakim, DJ Premier, and Prince Paul and combining it with broad, impressionistic strokes of dub, jazz, and soundtrack-y ambience. Like countrymen the Mighty Bop and la Funk Mob, Cam is stylistically closest to Mo'Wax artists such as DJ Shadow and DJ Krush; minimalist, downbeat instrumental hip-hop built from obscure samples and stomp-box turntable accompaniment...

Leila

Leila Arab, musician, producer, recording artist, moved to London after the 1979 Islamic Revolution in Iran. She started recording for Rephlex Records her own style of heavily IDM-influenced soul/ambient music. Described by DJ Gilles Peterson as 'the best of what Britain has to offer in the cutting edge of music', composer/producer Leila has collaborated and toured live with Bjork, been featured on Plaid 's Not For Threes debut, and remixed the likes of Acacia under her experimental Gramatix alter-ego.

Emika

Emika was born in the UK, of Czech heritage. As a young woman she studied classical piano and composition. She waitressed to save up for her first Apple Mac and copy of Logic. She was living in Bristol as the city transitioned from d&b to dubstep and she went to the first parties organised by Pinch. “I continue to be a part of this culture which has spread worldwide now.” She now lives in Berlin, where she works as a sound designer for Native Instruments.

Peeping Tom

There are three bands with the name Peeping Tom 1: a trip-hop project of American rock musician Mike Patton.
2: Australian retro/stoner rock band
3: French trip-hop/electronic/electro-dub band 1) Peeping Tom is the long awaited project from Mike Patton (Mr. Bungle, Faith No More, Fantômas, Tomahawk, etc.) that sees him collaborating with artists such as Norah Jones, Amon Tobin, Massive Attack, and Kid Koala.

Mr. Scruff, DJ, Producer, Cartoonist & Tea Drinker. Mr Scruff's productions draw on his influences as a DJ, including: Soul, Funk, Hip Hop, Jazz, Reggae, Latin, African, Ska, Disco, House, Funk, Breaks, Soundtracks, with a large dose of cheek & good humour. He released his first single in1994 and is presently signed to Ninja Tunes. He is also a cartoonist and his drawings illustrate his record/cd covers, gig flyers & website.
