1. Born in the Armenian quarter of Iran, Blade came to London aged 7. Within months of arriving, he felt the effect of the Islamic revolution back home. Unable to send money out of the country, Blade’s family could no longer support him. So, with no money, no family, alone in a strange country, Blade’s self-reliance and determination were all he had to see him through. The microphone, the studio and the stage provided his only release.

4Motion Music is a South London collective of DJ's DC AND VIP. They started djing at the tender age of 17 and 16 Playing House & Garage at house parties and Clubs in London, leaving their mark with the dynamic combination of DCs Scratching and VIPs chopping and Impact mixing. After about 2 years of homing the skills up and down the country they tried their hands at production in order to help and keep the 4 to the floor movement alive...

Born in a quiet London suburb, Drifta AKA Chris Demello had an early exposure to music by way of old hip hop, reggae, jazz, soul and funk records. After conquering piano and drums, his love of music led him behind the turntables. By the age of 16 he was playing ragga and jump up at his first house party, but he soon discovered a love for the more soulful sounds of drum & bass around 2004. After years of spending endless amounts of money on slowly building a record collection, Chris was just itching to share it with the nation.

In a time where seemingly every DJ and his dog has a record label, it's a real achievement just to stay afloat with so many imprints fighting over a limited stake in the market. However after five years Spearhead Records has rightfully earned an impeccable reputation amongst drum & bass aficionados for releasing consistently great music; from sweet soulful liquid and sparse minimal to full on dance floor workouts.
