Credit To The Nation

Fronted by MC Fusion, Credit to the Nation were one of the first commercial hip-hop acts producing a distinctively British sound, albeit with a hint of MC Fusion's Jamaican heritage. His lyrics often tackled weighty issues such as sexism, racism, homophobia and British politics, but went against the grain for many followers of in the UK at the time and lead to a great deal of antagonism.

Broken Minds

We are Broken Minds, a band that fuses Hardcore Punk, Hip-Hop, Metal, Industrial and any other style that we can add into the mixing bowl to get our unique sound.
The original idea for Broken Minds surfaced in 1995 but for one reason or another it was hard to get members to commit to anything serious until 2003, when Ben (guitars) entered the scene and this is when the real Broken Minds began. Broken Minds are a three man Rap-core outfit consisting of Ben (Guitars), Doom (vocals, Programming) and recently DJ Moca (Turntables,Production and Additional Vocals).

Gunshot

There are several bands with this name: 1.) Gunshot were a British hip hop group formed by MC Mercury, MC Alkaline, Q-Roc and DJ White Child Rix. They released their debut single "Battle Creek Brawl" (Vinyl Solution, 1990) to some acclaim, which was followed swiftly by the single "No Sell Out/Crime Story" (Vinyl Solution, 1991). Both singles were well received within the hip hop scene, but following this release Q-Roc left the group to join Son of Noise under the name Curoc.

Hell Is For Heroes

Hell Is For Heroes were a British band who formed in Camden, London, in September 2000. Will McGonagle and Joe Birch were previously in the band Symposium. After leaving their record label EMI in 2004 following the Payola scandal, they released their second album independently before signing a deal with Burning Heart Records, who subsequently re-released it in 2006. The band's third (self-titled) album was released in June 2007. September 2000 Hell is For Heroes formed

Their first single, "Style Wars" (Music of Life, 1988 caught the attention of the British hip hop community and laid much of the ground work for what was to come from the scene over the next few years.

Blade

1. Born in the Armenian quarter of Iran, Blade came to London aged 7. Within months of arriving, he felt the effect of the Islamic revolution back home. Unable to send money out of the country, Blade’s family could no longer support him. So, with no money, no family, alone in a strange country, Blade’s self-reliance and determination were all he had to see him through. The microphone, the studio and the stage provided his only release.

The Criminal Minds

The Criminal Minds were early 90's UK breakbeat hardcore producers with releases on White House and Labello Blanco. DJ Halo and Chase 1 formed The Criminal Minds in 1985,and while at college DJ Halo met Iceski who would become the lead emcee in The Criminal Minds. Upon meeting another DJ called Spatts they released their first EP entitled 'Guilty As Charged', this EP was funded by Halo selling his decks and the group, plus friends and family chipping in with some cash.
