Gyroscope

There are two bands with the name Gyroscope. The first is a / band from Perth, Western Australia formed in 1997 by Daniel Sanders (vocals, guitar), Zoran Trivic (guitar), Brad Campbell (bass), and Rob Nassif (drums). They recorded their first demo cassette, First, as Gyroscope Sunday in 1998, and took up playing regularly on the Perth live circuit whilst also finding time for work and school commitments. The second is a psychedelic jazz outfit from Quebec, Canada.

Freshly Squeezed

Freshly Squeezed are a seven piece Funk and Soul band playing a wide variety of venues in the South West with special guests ranging from keys players to their resident MC. They perform originals plus popular covers that you may recognise and include some less well known ones too. All of course with their 'fresh' individual added flavour. The group is made up of some of the best talent in the area with teachers, designers and musicians from other outfits all jumping ship and embracing the growing phenomenon that is Freshly Squeezed.

The Polyamorous Affair

Los Angeles based electronic duo The Polyamorous Affair release their sophomore effort on Manimal Vinyl this summer. Consisting of singer/songwriter/producer, Eddie Chacon and the seductive front woman Sissy Sainte-Marie, they churn out 10 electro-pop gems under the concept of "Bolshevik Disco". Chacon himself is no stranger to the spotlight, having been one-half of the R&B duo Charles and Eddie (#1 hit "Would I Lie to You). Barely out of his teens he worked on 2 Live Crew's notorious album As Nasty As They Wanna Be, The Dust Brothers and with Daddy-O of Stetsasonic.

Flevans

Flevans manages to pull off the oldest of pop music tricks, his musical style being indescribably unique and yet also readily accessible. His DJ sets, just like his own productions, rip up music from any and all genres and periods of music with child-like glee. From folk to funk, from the 20s to the year 2000, Flevans' ear for a good tune transcends normal boundaries and expectations.
Having played piano and double bass throughout his youth in a number of jazz and funk bands (as well as some “questionable” rock bands)...
