Chris Alastair

Chris Alastair (say "allister") is a singer/songwriter/guitarist from New York who's now based in London. Though best known for his funny spring-break anthem Spring (is Friggin' Awesome) (see Videos) he's a classically-trained, award-winning songwriter and performer whose recordings span a range of rock, pop, funk, and acoustic styles. Born in in North Africa to American and British parents, Chris was raised in the United States playing brass instruments in jazz bands and youth orchestras and singing a variety of choral work.

Men Without Hats

Men Without Hats is a Canadian alternative / Synthpop group from Montreal, Quebec, Canada formed in 1977 who were popular in the 80s. They were characterized by the deep, expressive vocals of their lead singer Ivan and their elaborate use of synthesizers and electronic processing. Men Without Hats were always, at the core, Ivan Doroschuk (also released solo as Ivan) and his brother Stefan Doroschuk, with various other members, including a third brother, Colin Doroschuk, as well as Jeremy Arrobas, tracy howe, Roman Martyn and Allan McCarthy.

Hank Green

Hank Green (May 5, 1980) is one of the two founders of the video blog project Brotherhood 2.0 that inspired the community of cool nerds known as Nerdfighters. Hank wrote many of his songs for his Brotherhood 2.0 videos. He and Alan Lastufka co-own DFTBA Records, a label that signs successful YouTube-based musicians. An original member of New York's new-school pioneers the Ultramagnetic MC's, "Kool" Keith Thornton is best known as a solo rapper. His signature style is stream-of-consciousness lyrical flow and complex vocals, two skills that earn him a perennial nod from the underground hip-hop community. The average Kool Keith album is peppered with bizarre, disjointed, even delusional or disassociated themes, concepts, and references. Nearly all of his albums incorporate a satirical dislike for more commercialized strains of hip-hop, as well as major record labels.

Danny Elfman

Daniel Robert "Danny" Elfman (born May 29, 1953) is an American composer, best known as the lead singer and songwriter for the rock band Oingo Boingo, from 1976 to 1995 and later for scoring music for television and film and creating The Simpsons main title theme as well as the 1989 Batman movie theme. He has scored the majority of the films for his long-time friend Tim Burton. Born in Los Angeles, he entered the film industry in 1976, initially as an actor. He made his film scoring debut in 1980 for the film Forbidden Zone directed by his older brother Richard Elfman.

Phebe and Harry met in 2005 on MySpace and five months later Harry had moved from Bundaberg to Adelaide so they could be together. Harry had been in Brisbane hardcore band Slain of Myself and was a keen piano and guitar player. Phebe had no previous musical endevours, other than the few years of recorder she did in primary school. They did their first gig in 2007 after getting air play on community radio stations like Adelaide's Three D. They have played with the likes of Tim & Jean, The John Steel Singers, Jonathan Boulet, That 1 Guy, Lovers Electric, Kid Confucius.

Melbourne septet The Bon Scotts are not an AC/DC covers band but a bittersweet mix of playful melodies, arresting percussion and sing-along choruses.
