Ever since he discovered the groove records of his dad at age 5, he knew he was on to something. When the 80’s sounds hit his radio speakers Dennis Christopher was in love with the synthesizer sound. He set out to combine everything he knew and started his voyage into the unknown.....
Adeva (born Patricia Daniels in 1960) is a female African American house music and R&B artist from Paterson, New Jersey, United States, and the youngest of six children. Her style ranges between diva vamp and gospel ballad, and earned her a couple of well-deserved top 20 hits in 1989. Her solo releases never topped the charts but her performances on an album by dance heavyweight Frankie Knuckles were received with acclaim. Adeva was always huge in the dance clubs in both the UK and USA. In 1996 EMI Gold released the compilation "Ultimate Adeva" to showcase her work hitherto.
The group was created by producer Frank Farian in 1975 and was composed of four West Indian artists working in London, Germany and the Netherlands: singers Marcia Barrett and Liz Mitchell, model Maizie Williams and DJ Bobby Farrell. Boney M is noted for the mix of white and black music—the producer Farian is white and the singers are black; significantly many songs are black (freedom) songs, for example “No More Chain Gang” in the album Oceans Of Fantasy.
Lil Louis is the stage name used by Chicago-born house music producer and DJ Louis Burns. He scored a number of hits on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart in the eighties and nineties, three of which hit #1.
His best known song, "French Kiss," featured vocals by Shawn Christopher and spent two weeks at #1 on the dance chart in 1989. The house track (now considered a classic) features a several-minutes-long breakdown in which the music gradually slowed down in tempo to a complete stop and left nothing but orgasmic moaning from Ms.
David Dunne has been a DJ on radio and in clubs for over 20 years - involved in house music since 1988 behind the decks, and behind a microphone. He resigned from Hed Kandi after six and a half years, earlier this year and has continued to work steadily as a DJ. Motown, Prince, P-Funk and of course, early techno instilled in Harris, a love of all forms of music. Today, he is recognized as one of the leaders in the field of deep house. It has been said that his work re-vitalized what had become a saturated and tired genre. Indeed Harris resists the very notion of working within genre parameters.

Cosmic Kids Ron Poznansky and Dan Terndrup didn’t meet in outer space as their DJ moniker may indicate, but the story is still equally as good. The two met in a high school classroom meant for kids who had trouble paying attention. They bonded over their love of classic rock. Right out of high school they both volunteered to work at the Los Angeles radio station KCRW. Known for its eclectic programming, the friends were exposed to all different kinds of music, and began collecting and consuming records, feeding their ever-expanding appetite for music.
Rui da Silva is a Portuguese producer and DJ, whose single "Touch Me" (featuring the vocals of Cassandra Fox) topped the UK Chart in 2001. At the time, he was the only Portuguese musician to have a UK hit and hence was the first to score a UK number one. Rui started producing house music in 1992, just as club culture was getting established in Lisbon. Noticing the lack of dance music labels in Portugal, Rui teamed up with DJ Vibe to form Kaos Records, the first label in Portugal specialized in house and electronic music.
