The seeds were planted in late 2001. Four kindred souls coming from different sides of the music spectrum converged, in London, UK, to discover a common disillusionment with a local Metal underground ecosystem that seemed to operate on mundanity, technicality, brutality for its own sake and 'scene points' rather than nurturing artistic individuality, atmosphere and imagination. Ophis

Ophis (greek for "serpent" or "snake"), began its lurking career in Hamburg, Germany, way back in the year 2000 as a solo-project of Rain of Ashes drummer Philipp as an outlet for his emotional downs and his deep love for depressing doom metal and death metal sounds. After this embryonic phase, Ophis grew to a full band in late 2001 with the line-up of Philipp on vocals and guitar, Fred on guitar, Johannes on bass and Richard on drums, but split up only after a few months without having played live or having anything released. Facebreaker

Facebreaker is a death metal-band formed in the summer of 1999 in Finspång, Sweden. The band consists of vocalist Roberth Karlsson, guitarists Mika Lagrén and Janne Ivarsson, basist and backing vocalist Jonas Magnusson and drummer Mikael Wassholm. Facebreaker started as an idea of a straight-forward metal act and in the autumn of 1999 the band began rehearsing. Jonas came to join the band after stopping by a rehearsal-session.

This name was changed to Evadne, which was an expression of sorrow, death and suicide how the end of this demigoddess of Greek mythology. This name expressed all we wanted at that moment. Be'lakor

A dark, melodic death metal band from Melbourne, Be'lakor has quickly come to be regarded as one of Australia's most promising and creative metal acts. The band's international reputation has grown rapidly since the release of their 2007 debut, "The Frail Tide," its 2009 follow-up, "Stone's Reach," and most recently, the band's third album, "Of Breath and Bone." 2012 will see Be'lakor return to Europe to play at Germany's Summer Breeze Festival and the Czech Republic's Brutal Assault Festival.

Dissolving of Prodigy

Melancholic Doom-metal in the vein of My Dying Bride. Combines a lot of different elements like violins, flute, female vocals and more. Very atmospheric but also still brutal and heavy - something for Death/Doom fans. Their 2002 release sees them moving more in the direction of pagan/dark metal, and most of the doom/death references of their past sound are lost.

Apotheosis

There are five bands using this name: 1) A thrash metal/symphonic black metal one man band from Malta. Sauron composes all of the music for Apotheosis. Although the band was formed in autumn of 1993, it wasn't until 2002 that Sauron released a full length, the four track epic Farthest From The Sun. 2) A two piece doom band from Toledo, Ohio. Their first album, 'Husk', was self-released in 2011 and they are currently (9/12) completing their second release, 'Bane'.

Desire

Desire is the name of six bands: 1) Hailing from Portugal, Desire is a death/doom metal band formed in 1992. They have three full length albums, they used to be known as Incarnated. Their music represents a dark, lustful atmosphere with keyboards and female vocals. 2) Desire is the new music project produced Johnny Jewel (of Glass Candy and Chromatics) and signed to the Italians Do It Better record label. The group came about after Johnny met singer Meagan Louise in Montreal. Assured that she was the perfect voice for his new songs, Johnny left his long time home in Portland for Montreal.
