Pseudo Echo

Pseudo Echo were an Australian band. Formed in the early eighties by school friends Brian Canham (vocals, guitars, and keyboards) and Pierre Gigliotti (bass and keyboards), the band completed its lineup with Anthony Agiro (drums) and Tony Lugton (guitars and keyboards). Their first album Autumnal Park was an Ultravox-influenced album that yielded the Australian singles "Listening" (produced by Peter Dawkins) , "Stranger in Me", "Dancing Till Midnight", and "Beat for You". It was a mature album that gave little indication of their youth.

Spunky

Rafa Spunky is a spanish music producer and performer. He is well known for producing several techno/electronica spanish acts, but specially for being the backing vocals of Fangoria, in both studio albums and live concerts. He also released a couple of solo albums in english, and an album of cover songs under the name 'Popbitch featuring Spunky'. This year he released an EP entirely in spanish.

The Proclaimers

The Proclaimers are a Scottish band composed of identical twins Charlie and Craig Reid. They are best known for their songs Letter From America and I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles) which became the theme song to the film Benny & Joon, and to the charity event the Terry Fox Run.

At the beginning of their musical careers, producers were wary of the strong accent prevalent in their songs. Rumor has it, Charlie and Craig refused to tone down their Scottish brogue and, consequently, wrote the song, Throw the R Away.

Billy Ocean

Leslie Sebastian Charles, aka Billy Ocean, was born in Fyzabad, Trinidad and Tobago and moved to England with his family at the age of eight. In his teenage years, he sang regularly in London clubs. He released his first single in 1972 on Spark Records as Les Charles. By 1976 he had adopted the name Billy Ocean and recorded his debut album, Billy Ocean, with the first single, "Love Really Hurts Without You," charting at number 2 in the United Kingdom and number 22 in the United States. Gorguts

A highly technical and avant-garde band, Gorguts was formed in 1989 by Luc Lemay (guitar/vocals), Sylvain Marcoux (guitar), Eric Giguere (bass) and Stephane Provencher (drums) in Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada. They recorded a demo in 1990 entitled "And Then Comes Lividity", and then in 1991 released "Considered Dead" on Roadrunner, their first full length of death metal. The release was very promising, and even included a guest guitar solo by James Murphy and guest vocals by Chris Barnes.

The Box

There are, at least, four artists named The Box. 1) A Montreal, Canada band, formed 1981 by Jean-Marc Pisapia (an early member of Men Without Hats). The band was re-started, in 2003, with new lineup. Originally, Jean-Marc recruited guitarist Guy Florent and bassist Jean-Pierre Brie for the band, who were originally known as Checkpoint Charlie before settling on the name The Box. After a 15-year hiatus the band released their fifth album, the progressive-rock flavored "Black Dog There" on Komfy-Universal.
