Hunters & Collectors were an Australian Rock band, formed in 1981 in Melbourne, who were originally influenced by German experimentalists like Can and later leaning more towards popular rock. Taking their name from a Can song, the band was formed by Mark Seymour (guitar, vocals), John Archer (bass), Doug Falconer (drums), Geoff Crosby (keyboards), Greg Perano (percussion), Ray Tosti-Gueira (guitar), and Robert Miles (sound engineer and art director, considered a full member).

Asia is a progressive rock supergroup formed in the spring of 1981 by bassist and vocalist John Wetton (from King Crimson and UK), guitarist Steve Howe (from Yes), drummer Carl Palmer (from Emerson, Lake & Palmer) and keyboardist Geoffrey Downes (from The Buggles and Yes). The band sold over nine million albums worldwide with their first self-titled Asia, that include the singles Heat of the Moment and Only Time Will Tell.

1) Fifth Column is an all-women experimental post punk band from Toronto, which came about during the early 1980s. They took the name Fifth Column after a military manoeuvre by Francisco Franco during the Spanish Civil War. Their live shows often included films played overtop of the band and a 'go-go' boy dancing. They were frequently accompanied by guest musicians who played instruments as varied as saxophone, trumpet, flute, or violin.
