Cassandra Wilson

Cassandra Wilson (born 4th December 1955) is a U.S. ist and two-time Grammy Award winner from Jackson, Mississippi. Two of her albums, Blue Skies (1988) and New Moon Daughter (1996), have topped the US jazz charts, and the latter also won her a Grammy for Best Jazz Vocal Performance in 1997. More recently, Wilson's latest album Loverly (2008) also won the Grammy for Best Jazz Vocal Album at the 51st Grammy Awards in 2009.

Joe Jackson (born August 11, 1954 in Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire, as David Ian Jackson) is a British musician. Jackson is probably best-known for the hit singles Is She Really Going Out with Him? (1979) and Steppin' Out (1982). Although born in Staffordshire, Jackson grew up in Portsmouth, Hampshire, England. He started off learning to play the violin but soon switched to piano. From the age of 16 he played in bars, and won a scholarship to study musical composition at London's Royal Academy of Music.

Biography
Altercation started out with original members Ralph Lee, Will Ottone, and Joey Atiya when all 3 were in still high school. Altercation changed lineups several times until late 2009 when they linked up with drummer Kori Harvey and his brother (synthesizer) Joe Yopp.
