There at least two artist by the name of India, one from the United States and one from the United Kingdom. 1) A highly-emotive approach to Latin music has led to Puerto Rico-born and Bronx, New York-raised La India (born: Linda Viera Caballero) being dubbed, "The Princess of Salsa." Her 1994 album, Dicen Que Soy, spent months on the Latin charts. While known for her Salsa recordings, India started out recording Freestyle w/ her debut album Breaking Night in 1990 as well as lending her vocals to many house classics.
The music featured on this page was written and produced by Tomas Greenhalf and Ryan James of Man Without Country. Tomas and Ryan jointly adopt the roles of composing, arranging, mixing and production, tweaking and refining every aspect of their musical creations.
Wet Hair is Shawn Reed, Justin Thye, and Ryan Garbes, the two remaining members of Raccoo-oo-oon that stayed in Iowa City after the band's end. Reed also runs Night-People Records, which Garbes often contributes to. Wet Hair began as a solo outing for Reed in late 2007 during the final months of Raccoo-oo-oon, and after the release of a 12" EP and the Irifi Cassette Garbes was added on organ and live drums.
Chuck Loeb is a skillful guitarist capable of numerous styles of music, most notably jazz. Loeb's own solo projects have generally been commercially successful crossover jazz, which has "contemporary" or "smooth" jazz. He started playing guitar when he was 11, discovered jazz when he was 16, took lessons from Jim Hall, Pat Metheny and Joe Puma, and attended the Berklee College of Music. Loeb freelanced in New York (with Hubert Laws, Chico Hamilton, Joe Farrell among others) and then in 1979 joined Stan Getz's group for two years.
