The Paper Hats

The Paper Hats is William Tyler of Nashville, Tennessee. He rocks his guitar like a frenzied Fahey with effects and loop pedals to make a pretty expansive sound. The man is a beast. See him in other bands such as Lambchop and the Silver Jews.

Dark Dark Dark

Minneapolis based chamber-folk sextet Dark Dark Dark revel in the wonder that is around us always. On their breathtaking sophomore album Wild Go, which arrives October 5, 2010 via Supply and Demand Music, the band has created a stirring reminder to seek out that magic. Their dramatic sound sets Nona Marie Invie’s soaring, haunting voice against age-old instrumentation that evokes the soundtrack to a beautiful film.

Feathers

There is more than one artist with this name. 1. http://www.myspace.com/feathersfamily
Looking (and often sounding) as though they've been sent directly from central casting, the psych-folk octet Feathers originate from the same fertile New England climates that generated the wayfaring likes of Tower Recordings and the MV & EE Medicine Show. The arrival of their debut album on Devendra Banhart and Andy Cabic's Gnomonsong label has not gone unheralded...
