Kraftwerk (In English, "power station") is an electronic band founded in 1970 in Düsseldorf, Germany. They pioneered electronic music in the 1970s and are considered one of the most important and influential bands of their genre -often described as 'the godfathers of electronic music". Ralf Hütter (b. 1946, Krefeld, Germany; organ) and woodwind student Florian Schneider-Esleben (b. 1947, Düsseldorf, Germany; woodwind) met while they were studying improvised music in Düsseldorf, Germany.
Juan Atkins (born December 9, 1962 in Detroit) is an American musician. He is widely credited as the originator of techno music, sometimes known as Detroit Techno since Atkins and techno co-creators Derrick May and Kevin Saunderson grew up in Detroit, Michigan. Atkins has cited the radio show of Charles "Electrifyin' Mojo" Johnson as a musical influence. Electrifyin' Mojo, a Detroit DJ, played an eclectic mix of music including Kraftwerk, Parliament and Prince. Atkins and friend Derrick May created mix tracks for Electrifying Mojo to broadcast, then began to create original music.
Yelle (a feminised acronym of YEL, "You enjoy life") is Julie Budet, a French singer from the town of Saint-Brieuc, France, who started performing in 2005. She rose to fame on MySpace when she posted a song titled "Short Dick Cuizi", dissing Cuizinier, a member of the Parisian hip-hop group TTC. With producer and close friend GrandMarnier, Yelle has recorded a debut album Pop-Up, after her hit single "Je Veux Te Voir" (a finalised version of "Short Dick Cuizi"). The song, which samples the bassline from 20 Fingers' 1994 club hit Short Dick Man, received heavy airplay on MTV.

Four black metal bands (2,3,4,5), one post-rock band (6) one punk rock band (7) and one breaks/dubstep house collective spelled P.E.S.T (8) 1)Pest is a band from the UK, playing electronic music with tinges of jazz, funk and hip hop.
Current members are Matt Chandler (guitar), Benjamin Mallott (DJ / keys), Thomas Marriott (trombone) and Wayne Urquhart (cello), with all members contributing to the programming and production of the band's music.
