2. An Australian rock band 1. The Medics are an indie band which formed in Utrecht, The Netherlands in 2008. Along the way, The Medics have been labeled as 'Morrissey on speed', but gain also heavy influences from bands like The Strokes, Vampire Weekend and The Killers. Early 2009 The Medics released a three song EP. In October 2010 The Medics released the first single called City. Their debut album Dance Into The Dark with the same titled single Dance into the dark has been be released at the end of august 2011.

Atoms for Peace

Atoms for Peace is an and supergroup formed in late 2009 in Los Angeles, California, United States. The group consists of Radiohead lead singer Thom Yorke (vocals, guitars, and piano), Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea (bass guitar), longtime Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich (keyboards, synths), Joey Waronker of Beck and R.E.M. (drums), and Brazilian instrumentalist Mauro Refosco (percussion). Their debut album, Amok, became available for streaming on February 18, 2013, and was released on February 25, 2013.

Battery City

Battery City was unofficially put on the map in the fall of 2010 as a punk-rock band from Southport, NC. Guitarist and vocalist, Abby Piette, saw her graduation project on songwriting as the perfect excuse to start the band with drummer, Holland Watkins. Three home-recorded tracks later and they knew they couldn't stop there. In January, they had their name. In July, they released their debut album, Indirect Broadcast, which is available for free download here:
