Gov't Mule is a southern rock/jam band formed in 1994 as a side project to The Allman Brothers Band, but has taken on a life of its own. Like many jam bands, Gov't Mule does not get much radio airplay but is popular due to constant touring and intense fan loyalty. When the Allman Brothers Band reformed in 1989 in response to the popularity of the Dreams box set, Warren Haynes was added on lead guitar and Allen Woody on bass.
Evelyn Glennie, born in 1965 in Aberdeen, Scotland, is a virtuoso percussionist. She is the first person in musical history to successfully create and sustain a full-time career as a percussion solo performer. As one of the most eclectic and innovative musicians on the scene today she is constantly redefining the goals and expectations of percussion, and creating performances of such vitality that they almost constitute a new type of performance.
TOPS is a Montréal-based four piece that fashions a hazy take on soft-rock under the spell of Stevie Nicks and Sadistic Mika Band. They record for Arbutus Records (home to Grimes, Sean Nicholas Savage, Tonstartssbandht, etc).
