Jenny Wilson

Swedish Jenny Wilson makes elegant and sophisticated pop music with hints of synthpop. Her self-produced solo debut, Love & Youth, on which she also plays every instrument, was released to much critical acclaim in 2005. Music journalists ranked it as one of the best Swedish albums of the year. As a teenager in the early 90s, Jenny Wilson - born in 1975 - originally wanted to become a writer. At that time she discovered PJ Harvey's Rid of Me, an album that inspired her so much that she decided to give up on her writing career and focus on music.

The Forest And The Fire

A glass half-full of Indie; A dash of Hardcore; A pinch of progressive tendencies; A whiff of metal (a faint whiff, mind); Half a leaky glowstick; The sole of a disco shoe. Wash that all down with a few pints of trauma and a shot of desire and you might come close to our aspirations for creating sound. - http://www.theforestandthefire.com

Artist Type:

Lumerians

Distorted clouds of organ, synth, and vibraphone churn above hypnagogic waves of percussion and bass. Referencing psych and prog without the use of guitars, Lumerians create cinematic rock music that is warm, dark, organic and non-retro. Male and female vocals propel songs forward without eclipsing the chimeric ambience of the music. Parallels could be made to the ominous soundscapes of Ennio Morricone, the propulsive rhythms of Can, and the hypnotic oscillations of Silver Apples.

brighter arrows

"Brighter Arrows formed in the summer of 2010 as a project between Jake Norris and John Olds. Eventually Colin May was recruited and Owen Mallon was brought in for bass duties. Jamie Dougherty originally contributed synthesizer and piano parts but in February of 2010, he began taking over on bass when Mallon departed from the group."

Concrete Blonde

Concrete Blonde is an alternative rock band dating from the early 1980s to the early 1990s (and re-formed again in the 2000s). They are best known for the poignant songwriting and vocals of Johnette Napolitano. Singer / songwriter / bassist Napolitano formed the band Dream 6 with guitarist James Mankey in Los Angeles in 1982, releasing an eponymous EP in France on the Happy Hermit label in 1983. When they signed with IRS in 1986, labelmate Michael Stipe suggested the name Concrete Blonde, describing the contrast between their hard rock music and introspective lyrics.

Juno

There are at least six artists that have used this name: 1. Juno was an American indie rock band formed in Seattle, WA in 1995. They released their debut album This Is the Way It Goes and Goes and Goes on DeSoto Records on March 30, 1999. Their second album A Future Lived in Past Tense was released May 8, 2001. Although their two albums are very paced, steady, slow-burning epics with the occasional explosion of fireworks (hear Leave a Clean Camp and a Dead Fire for a quintessential Juno track)...
