The Vickers

There are more than one band named The Vickers. Japan - Forming in 2003 after Chisato, formerly of the all-female punk band THUG MURDER (TKO Records), and Kenta666, from the hardcore band REAL SHIT, started collaborating, THE VICKERS quickly carved a name for themselves as one of Japan's fiercest rock n' roll acts. They released their first mini-album Stab Your Back, now out-of-print, which was quickly followed up with three brutal albums as well as Chisato's final recording with the group Don't Slow Me Down.

The 1900s

The 1900s are a 7-piece band from Chicago. They use unique arrangements to make strange and beautiful songs that are both endearing and fun.
The 1900s have enough members that their songs can effortlessly slide across styles (coke 'n' rhinestone country, urban pastoral garage, straight-up boy/girl belting), filling a room while remaining breezy 'n' easy, even when dropping lines like "You said you'd never want to take it from behind from boys / but pride starts wasting away before your youth" in the chiming, bouncing, tambourine 'n' piano tapping "Georgia.

Chromatics

Chromatics originally hailed from Seattle as a quartet featuring vocalist Adam Miller, drummer Hannah Blilie, guitarist Devin Welch, and bassist Michelle Nolan. That lineup debuted in 2002 with a Calvin Johnson-produced 7" on Gold Standard Laboratories -- a split with Die Monitr Batss -- and followed with the similarly GSL-issued Chrome Rats Vs Basement Ruts LP. While Chrome Rats was critically hailed, Chromatics couldn't keep it together, and Miller was soon the only member in good standing (Blilie, Welch, and Nolan went on to form the similar-sounding Shoplifting).
