The Traps

Birmingham based band, The Traps were born on 1st January 2008. The band spent much of the year writing, recording and playing live, gaining fans from their performances and from sending out free mp3s to those who messaged them directly on myspace. The band founded the record label - Speech Fewapy Records to enable the release of their own EPs. 2009 saw the release of three EPs, ‘Luna’, ‘Elk’ and The Honey Drip’. All were released in download only formats and were all made available for free. The three EPs were downloaded a combined total of over 1,500 times.

Signed to Elton John’s Rocket Records in 1973, Silver was based in the States for a while and toured the USA with the likes of Dory Previn and Ashford & Simpson. In fact during his time under contract to Rocket he actually had a chance encounter with John Lennon – ask him what they discussed and he will tell you “Liverpool FC” – Mike has been a supporter since childhood as was Lennon! Big Sugar

Big Sugar is a band from Toronto, Canada. They were active from 1991 to 2004 and again since April 2010. The band has sold more than half a million albums in Canada. With its successful 2011 release of “Revolution Per Minute”, BIG SUGAR announced that they were not merely content to rest on their considerable laurels of past hits. Known for their innovative style that refuses to be easily labelled, as well as for their extraordinary live performances, which saw them close out last year with a full 40 city national tour, BIG SUGAR is back.

Przemysław Strączek Group

Przemysław Strączek (1976) - jazz guitarist, composer, arranger, producer, educator. Completed studies in music education at the Silesian University in Cieszyn, as well as receiving a degree from the Jazz Institute at the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice. He is also a laureate of the Marek Bliziński Master Guitarists' Competition in Warsaw, which he won in 2001 and 2003, and the All-Poland Competition for Guitar Improvisation in Kielce, in 2005. From 1998 to 2006 he led his first group, Tres Jazz, with which he recorded the album “The Shape of Melody” in 2004.

"One-man band Konrad Wert grew up in a Mennonite family, raised by preacher father and a piano player mother, which accounts for both the baptized-in-fire-soul and musical versatility heard in his gritty Old World music. Wert's mix of blues and vintage folk howls with a sense of explosive freedom and latent rage-not unlike an Amish kid emerging from the wilderness to discover America -that instills his simple guitar/fiddle/stomp-box arrangements with unusual passion.

Neil Young & Crazy Horse

Canadian singer and songwriter Neil Young includes his personal garage band Crazy Horse ("second best backing band in the world") to make raw and unpolished rock. Their gritty style of rock has influenced countless artists and music styles. Crazy Horse is best known for its long association with Young, despite having released five albums of its own over a 19-year span. It has been co-credited with Young as Neil Young and Crazy Horse on 13 albums, "Live at the Fillmore East" from the 1970 tour (2006) being the last.
