At least three bands share the name "Industry": 1)A New York-based synth/pop band most famous for the club hit "State of the Nation" and the Stranger To Stranger LP. 2) Bass-guitar player Babayev Fouad founded "Industry" band in April 1994 in Baku and it became the first band in Azerbaijan, promoting grunge-rock.. Founders of the band was formed in 1995 at the same time debut concert was done in "Bakport" club. In 1996 band gave one more concert on several festivals: ("Rock-Fiesta", "Tochka Opori") and got its fans, number of which was increasing from concert to concert.

Sami Yusuf

Sami Yusuf (born July 1980) is a British singer of Iranian Azeri descent. Sami's first album Al-Mu'allim was self-produced and released in July 2003 which attained huge success. His second album, My Ummah, which was released in 2005, comes in two versions, a musical version and one with just percussion. Yusuf's music comprises mostly of songs to do with Islam and being a Muslim in today's world. He also deals with many social and humanitarian issues in his music. Presently, he is fast becoming a very popular figure in the Islamic world, having made videos for several of his tracks.

Alim Qasimov, born in 1957 in Shamakha, is an Azerbaijani musician and is the foremost Mugham singer in Azerbaijan, Alim has recorded nine albums and lately has been featured quite frequently in Azerbaijani newspapers and TV programs. Alim and his 21 year old daughter Fargana Qasimov have recorded three albums of Mugham music together. He has performed in France, the United Kingdom., Germany, Belgium, Spain, Brazil, Iran and the United States.
