Mac DeMarco, formerly Makeout Videotape, is the anti-thesis to your stereotypical singer-songwriter. Disregarding the seriously somber moments, he replaces them with whimsical and youthful spontaneity, whilst retaining the endearing and subtle commentaries that exude his familiarity. Promptly after leaving his Edmonton garage for Vancouver he embarked on a North American tour accompanying fellow Canadians Japandroids on a grand voyage of enlightenment and alcoholic debauchery.

Sixth Comm was founded in 1986 by Patrick Leagas, former, drummer and vocalist in the first incarnation of Death in June. The early Sixth Comm releases present a mix of melancholic synth pop, ritual sounds and experiments, as well as several reworkings of songs which Leagas had written for Death in June. Sixth Comm's imagery is heavily influenced by Norse mythology and magic. The band had sometimes the collaboration of appreciated pagan scholar and writer Freya Aswynn. Later on Leagas met dancer/singer Amodali and they started to collaborate under the name of Mother Destruction.

There are at least four bands with this name, one is an ethereal post-dreampop band based in Australia, the second is a Canadian band that plays filk and folk music, the third a 70s funk outfit, and the fourth a jazz / pop unit from Latvia: 1) Dandelion Wine are an ethereal post-dreampop band that while based in Melbourne Australia, inhabit a very different world. A world where the centuries bleed into one another to create a seamless whole.

Despite musical roots dating back to 1988 and involvement in numerous groups, Bain Wolfkind did not truly emerge until 2004. In 2004 Wolfkind recorded the self produced 'Love Letters' EP, followed by 2005's full length release 'Music For Lovers and Gangsters', 2006's 'Confidential Report' EP , 2007's 'Wasteland' EP and 2008's, his most recent full length Cd release, 'The Swamp Angel' .
