After John Guest and Kristin Lindsley branched out of their previous group, Ministry of Plenty, they recorded a self-titled side project debut under the name Sleep All Day with Steven Garcia sitting in for all the bass parts in June 2008. While leaving behind the electronics and multi-instrument sound, Sleep All Day's first album was primarily an acoustic effort with very few instruments and no ambient sounds.
