Best Before

In the Melbourne music scene, it seems musical fashions and trends change almost as often as the weather. However, unlike the completely erratic weather patterns, some things are true of all good artists. A solid work ethic is a must, though time and effort alone cannot buy the connection between a great singer and his audience. Like a rainbow in the storm; Best Before emerge amongst an increasingly heavy music scene to re-kindle the free spirited joy of a smooth melody, the delight of a cheeky bass line and the liberating honesty of a simple love song shared amongst friends and strangers.

The Black Sea

The Black Sea was formed from the ashes of Frodus in 2002 when Frodus's Shelby Cinca and Jason Hamacher decided to continue playing together. At the time they recruited Fugazi bassist Joe Lally to play bass. At the time they weren't sure on if the musical endeavor would go beyond just playing music. In February 2002, Hamacher left for a 3 month excursion to Eastern Europe and Turkey after recording drum tracks for the pair.

Hands On Heads

HANDS ON HEADS are a dysfunctional pop group from London, writing abrupt, to the point, non-repetitive songs about unrequited friendship, romantic potential, the supernatural everyday, righteous joy and expectation. Their songs rarely scale the dizzying heights of the two minute mark, relying on shock and awe songwriting tactics to get their message across. The band doesn't believe in reiteration, they make a point with emphasis, then move on to the next fractured song of double-speed dynamics and feral abandon.

Conquistadors

Conquistadors (that's pronounced Kon--kwi-sta-dors if you didn't know) are a DIY band from Birmingham, UK. Part experimental Prog-Rock, part Lo-Fi sound explosion, all of it gloriously noisy. Their first EP, 'Out Of Experience', was released in 2008 and in 2009, after an enforced hiatus following vocalist James’s travel round Asia, the band released the 'Rochelle, Rochelle' EP (the title a reference to a fictional film mentioned in Seinfeld).

The Sound and The Fury is most commonly known as a hard rock band from Kansas City, MO, which was founded in 1995, and broke up in March 2006. The band featured Jeff Wood (guitar and vocals), Aaron Ogle (guitar), Jay Kassen (bass guitar and vocals), and Nathan Russel (drums). Another band who uses the name is a hardcore/Christian band from Kokomo, IN. Jackie Greene is a singer-songwriter playing folk or roots rock music. Greene, was born on November 27, 1980 and was brought up in Cameron Park, California.
