Sunny ol' Stoke-On-Trent; birthplace of Slash, Lemmy and some guy that used to be in Take That. It is also home to Friends of Ken. Their style is a kind of mish-mash of alternative-pop-punk-rock which produces a fast, raw sound with huge choruses and big melodies. They have been together for six years, with Big'un (vocals/guitar), Sven (guitar) and Al (bass/vocals) meeting at uni and Hof (drums) joining them two years later. Since then they have gone on to play shows across the length and breadth of the United Kingdom and occasionally stumbling into Europe.
