Andre Williams

Andre Williams (born Zephire Andre Williams in Bessemer, Alabama, on November 1, 1936) is an American R&B and punk blues musician who started his career in the 1950s at Fortune Records in Detroit. Some sources believe that Williams is the long-lost brother of Screamin' Jay Hawkins, a blues musician whose song "I Put A Spell On You" landed on the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's 500 Songs that Shaped Rock and Roll charts.

Syl Johnson

Syl Johnson (b. July 1, 1936) is an American blues and soul singer and music producer. Born Sylvester Thompson in Holly Springs, Mississippi, Johnson sang and played with blues artists Magic Sam, Billy Boy Arnold, Junior Wells and Howlin' Wolf in the 1950s, before recording with Jimmy Reed for Vee-Jay in 1959. He made his solo debut that same year with Federal, a subsidiary of King Records of Cincinnati, backed by Freddie King on guitar.

Kastaphor

Kastaphor are a group of like minded people with their own unique vibes, which has melded to form a sound that is hard to pinpoint. Rob (guitar), Ged (bass) and Karl (drums) have been together since 2007, working both with singers and as an instrumental outfit. In August 2009, Emma (vocals) answered an online ad, auditioned and immediately became an integral part of the band. Songs and arrangements have flowed so easily that a debut album has been recorded and is slated for early 2010 release. The band are keen to get out on the road and gig these songs.

Maysa Leak

Maysa is one of few Smooth Jazz Artist to remain consistently on top of the Billboard’s Sales Chart. Born and raised in Baltimore, MD, Maysa discovered that she wanted to be a musician at six when her parents took her to see the musical Purlie. She recalls, “The moment Melba Moore took the stage an opened her mouth I made my decision that music would be my fate.” A graduate of Morgan State University with a degree in classical performance, Maysa met Stevie Wonder while still a senior in college.
