Bogdan Raczynski is a Canada-based electronic music artist. He was born in Poland, but his family moved to the USA while he was a child. He went to art school in Japan but dropped out, after which he spent time playing trumpet in Japanese jazz clubs and making techno songs on his computer using trackers, which he would release on the Internet under the netlabel Kosmic Free Music Foundation under the moniker "Karl".
I've been producing electronic music since 1998, when I started a project called Desert Storm Breakcore Squad with my friend JayB. We produced a quite unusual mixture of hardcore techno and jungle, because I had a hardcore/speedcore background and Jay was more into jungle.
Later on I bought my own PC and started making music by myself under the Noize Punishment moniker. I always liked grindcore, punk or metal and I guess this influence is traceable in my tracks. Among the biggest influences to me I would count Alec Empire and Atari Teenage Riot, Mathis Mootz (Panacea), Bombardier.
There are at least nine "Contra's", they will all be dealt with below. 1. Contra was a hardcore/punk band from Long Island, New York. They formed around 1997/98 and at the time were Jon Berg, Steve Andolfo, Anthony Greco, and Craig Hughes. They toured a few times, released a couple of records on Traffic Violation records, and defined what hardcore and punk was about for a lot of people on Long Island for a long time.

The Gross Consumer (aka James McCarthy) was raised in Towcester (as in electric) in Northamptonshire. Experimenting with any equipment they could find, Grossy, and friends Roger Species and Kevin Nova made various bad quality tapes and performed live, unwanted, at many 18th birthday parties.
When Roger Species moved to Brighton and helped set up the Wrong Music Night, the Gross Consumer got dragged into the mix. Eventually moving to Brighton and helping with the chaos, the Consumer has been involved since the start of the Wrong Music Label.
