Kid606

Kid606 aka Miguel Depedro, was born 1979 in Venezuela and raised in California, dropped out of school and life to make music and run around the world bringing his uniquely reckless, fucked up, and beautiful music to our fucked up and beautiful world (one dance party at a time). Inspired by the best of electronica, punk, jungle, hiphop, bass, dancehall and techno, Kid606 fuses it all together with a love of pop culture that Andy Warhol would approve of.

Meow Meow

There are more than one artist who go by the name "Meow Meow." 1) Shortwave radio squeals, Beatles-esque tape loops and healthy doses of analog knob-twiddling all underscore the pure-sugar pop tones of Snow Gas Bones. Meow Meow exists somewhere between Brill Building tradition and grandpa's pre-war 78 rpms played with a broken stylus. With hypnotic visual projections, all members sharing vocal duties and swapping instruments, they've brought their kaleidoscopic live shows up the west coast, down to SXSW and soon to the UK and Japan.

Artist Type:

Hellfish

Owner of Deathchant records and beat master extraordinaire Hellfish has produced some of the most amazing futuristic dance music of the last few years. It's easy enough to make abstract bollocks but the dancefloor requires a little more production nous & understanding of the dancefloor. Combining this with abstract bollox (which he surely does) is a most difficult trick. He cut his production teeth back in the day with releases on Moving Shadow, Dance Bass and his own Bogwoppa records.
