1) Fifth Column is an all-women experimental post punk band from Toronto, which came about during the early 1980s. They took the name Fifth Column after a military manoeuvre by Francisco Franco during the Spanish Civil War. Their live shows often included films played overtop of the band and a 'go-go' boy dancing. They were frequently accompanied by guest musicians who played instruments as varied as saxophone, trumpet, flute, or violin.
Charge of the Light Brigade
Sometimes albums are so aptly titled that the record manages to take on a life of its own while at the same time seems to strictly adhere to the title itself. The Defiant Ones is one of those titles and in turn, one of those albums with a fierce, dedicated aesthetic. The debut full-length from Charge of the Light Brigade is a comprehensive listen that combines intense, punk-influenced melodies with an expansive and at times untouchable groove.
Dark Forest
There are at least two bands called Dark Forest... Formed in 2002 by Christian Horton and original bassist Dave Batham, Dark Forest set out to write and play Heavy Metal music. By 2004, after a year of small gigs, the band released a three song demo called Succubus. A few line up changes later and many more gigs under their belt they produced two self-recorded EPs, 'Fear Dearg ' and 'Phantoms of the Sea'. In 2007 the band signed to Eyes Like Snow records who saw potential in the demo material. They released their debut album 'Dark Forest ' in 2009.
Jonny Craig
Jonny Craig is a Canadian singer. He currently fronts the band Emarosa and has recently returned to his post as singer of Dance Gavin Dance, the band he was kicked out of in 2007. His other projects include a former stint in Ghost Runner On Third and sharing vocal duties in the supergroup Isles & Glaciers. He also has a solo career, and is the first and only act of its kind to be signed to Rise Records. Solo work
Sparrow
Sparrow is led by Jason Zumpano of Zumpano fame. They recently released a second album on Absolutely Kosher records.

The Be Good Tanyas
The Be Good Tanyas are an acoustic trio with folk and americana influences, hailing from Vancouver, British Columbia. They play a combination of original and traditional material, and are notable for their lush vocal harmonies. The group features Frazey Ford (guitar, vocals), Samantha Parton (guitar, mandolin, banjo, vocals) and Trish Klein (electric guitar, banjo, harmony vocals). Jolie Holland is a former member and also a frequent guest.
Colm Wilkinson
Colm Wilkinson originated the role of Jean Valjean, the main character in the very popular musical Les Miserables. He has also starred as Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar and performed in The Phantom of the Opera.
PS I Love You
PS I Love You is a Canadian indie rock band from Kingston, Ontario. The band is currently on the label Paper Bag Records. The band is a duo, with Paul Saulnier on vocals/guitar and Benjamin Nelson on drums. The band's debut album, "Meet Me At The Muster Station" (released October 5, 2010), was reviewed favorably (8.1) by Pitchfork Media, who called it "a compact debut that nonetheless feels momentously epic". As well, their track "Facelove" received an 8 and was branded "Best New Music" by Pitchfork Media.
