Autolux
The Los Angeles based trio, formed in late 2000, (comprised of Eugene Goreshter: vocals/bass, Carla Azar: vocals/drums, and Greg Edwards: vocals/guitar, has just recently signed to TBD Records in the US for the release of their sophomore album, Transit Transit, and ATP Recordings for the rest of the world. Saboteur harkens back to a day in the not too distant past when lyrical intelligence and musical proficiency was not the exception in punk rock. The Playing Fields
The germination of the band starts with Stephen Bland, from the graveyard suburb of Enfield, North London. As a teenager, he organized and performed with several group incarnations in Canterbury, while serving time at the university, booking bands and promoting clubs. Younger brother by seven years, Michael would join him for illicit drinking sprees. To make his scrawny younger brother look older, Steve would ensconce Mike's frame in many jumpers.
