Syl Johnson

Syl Johnson (b. July 1, 1936) is an American blues and soul singer and music producer. Born Sylvester Thompson in Holly Springs, Mississippi, Johnson sang and played with blues artists Magic Sam, Billy Boy Arnold, Junior Wells and Howlin' Wolf in the 1950s, before recording with Jimmy Reed for Vee-Jay in 1959. He made his solo debut that same year with Federal, a subsidiary of King Records of Cincinnati, backed by Freddie King on guitar.

Maurice Duruflé

Maurice Duruflé (11 January, 1902 in Louviers – 16 June, 1986 in Paris) was a French composer, organist and pedagogue. In 1912, Duruflé became chorister at the Rouen Cathedral Choir School, where he studied piano and organ with Jules Haelling. At age 17, he moved to Paris. He took private organ lessons with Charles Tournemire, whose assistant he was at Ste. Clotilde until 1927. In 1920, Duruflé entered the Conservatoire de Paris. Duruflé left the Conservatoire with first prizes in organ, harmony, piano accompaniment, and composition.

James Carter Organ Trio

James (Larry) Carter (born January 3, 1969) is an American jazz musician.

Carter was born in Detroit, Michigan and learned to play there before moving to New York City. He has been prominent as a performer and recording artist on the jazz scene since the mid-1990s, playing saxophones, flute, and bass clarinet. As a young man, he attended Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp and was a member of the group Bird-Trane-Sco-Now.

Zapoppin'

Zapoppin' are a organ-banjo behemoth, they are behind the times and ahead of the times. And they read The Times. Consisting of Luke A.N. Richards (vox, organ) and Thomas G.J. Sharpe (vox, banjo). Richards came out of rehab after the Radium Girls split. Nasty and deliberate. Sharpe was slowly drying out after years with The Da Vinci Dress Code. The two met at new years night 2006 as it crashed sexually into 2007.

Wet Hair

Wet Hair is Shawn Reed, Justin Thye, and Ryan Garbes, the two remaining members of Raccoo-oo-oon that stayed in Iowa City after the band's end. Reed also runs Night-People Records, which Garbes often contributes to. Wet Hair began as a solo outing for Reed in late 2007 during the final months of Raccoo-oo-oon, and after the release of a 12" EP and the Irifi Cassette Garbes was added on organ and live drums.
