Rhys Chatham

Rhys Chatham (b. New York City) is an American avant-garde composer, guitarist, and trumpet player. He currently lives in France. In the early 1970s Chatham was the first music director of The Kitchen in New York. His early compositions owed a significant debt to La Monte Young and other minimalists. His concert productions included experimenters Maryanne Amacher, Robert Ashley, Philip Glass, Meredith Monk, Pauline Oliveros, Steve Reich, and early alternative-rockers such as Brian Eno, Robert Fripp and Fred Frith.

Kimmo Pohjonen

Kimmo Pohjonen (b. 1964) is one of the most respected and in-demand musicians and performers in Finland. An accordionist of exceptional ability and imagination, Kimmo's musical history goes back more than twenty years in rock, folk, avant-garde, improvisation, classical, dance and theatre music projects. In 1996 he embarked on a solo career with his solo 5-row accordion project, featuring extreme and original compositions, live loops and effects, a dynamic and animated stage performance, orchestrated lights and surround sound.

Loren MazzaCane Connors

Loren MazzaCane Connors (born October 22, 1949, New Haven, Connecticut) is an American experimental musician and a gifted guitarist that has been recording his unique style of playing for more than a couple of decades now. During this time he has also recorded under the name Guitar Roberts. Now more than ever Loren MazzaCane Connors is getting his due recognition. His recorded output is quite staggering, having somewhere in the vicinity of 30 releases on different labels on various formats.

Rothko

Based in London, Rothko have been in existence since the spring of 1997, playing their first show at The Hope and Anchor in Islington in August the same year. Their first release was a 7" single, For Danny, on Fierce Panda in the Autumn of '97 and the original line up of Mark, Crawford Blair and Jon Meade, went on to release EP's, singles and three albums, on labels such as Lo Recordings, Bella Union, Foundry, Kraak, Zeal and Narwhal.

Gintas K

Gintas K (Gintas Kraptavicius) is a sound artist born in Lithuania in 1969 . He was the core member of the first Lithuanian industrial music group "Modus". Performances, actions, even short films shape the activities of "Modus" (which is translated as "the way of life"). Later Gintas Kraptavicius was active as a performer and interdisciplinary artist, known for his actions, happenings, written instructions in a post-fluxus manner.

Ben Johnston

Benjamin Burwell Johnston, Junior (born March 15, 1926 in Macon, Georgia) is a composer of contemporary music in the just intonation system. Johnston taught composition and theory at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from 1951 to 1983. Johnston began as a traditional composer of art music before working with Harry Partch, helping the senior musician to build instruments and use them in the performance and recording of new compositions.
