Aqua

Aqua is a - dance-pop group, best known for their 1997 breakthrough single Barbie Girl. Initially forming as Joyspeed in 1989, the band was renamed Aqua in 1994 and achieved huge success across the globe in the late 1990s and early 2000s. The group managed to top the UK Singles Chart with their first three singles. The group released two albums: Aquarium in 1997 and Aquarius in 2000, before splitting up in July 2001. The group sold an estimated 33 million albums and singles, making them the most successful Danish band ever and the second most successful Norwegian band.

Oh Land

Oh Land is a peculiar new cinematic electropop Dane who recently sailed across the sea to the artistic haven of Brooklyn, NY. With an opera singer for a mother, a theater organist for a father and Björk’s Homogenic on constant rotation, Oh Land was enraptured by the combination of experimental and classical arts. “My goal is to sound like I’m from 2050, but still feel really classic, like the music is an old friend,” said Oh Land.

Bodebrixen

Bodebrixen is a danish band formed in Aarhus, DK in 2006. The band consists of Aske Bode and Andreas Brixen, who met at a summer school.
Afterwards they started to play instrumental gigs, but the music developed, and on their first demo Andreas started to sing.
Now the band plays happy indiepop songs with a large range of instruments from saxophones and recorders to banjos and old synthezisers. When they play live they are joined by a 9-member backing band. Their debut album, is to be released on the danish indie label, Good Tape Records, in september 2008.

Mads Langer

Mads Langer (Skive, DK, 1984) is a Danish singer and singer-songwriter, who became internationally known for his cover of "You're Not Alone" by the British band Olive. While that song is cheerful, his own songs are frequently typified as emotional guitar ballads, because many of them are in a minor scale and have a melancholic feel to them. He has explained that even when he tries to write an uplifting song, it often ends up being a sad song...

There are atleast four artists under the name of Christian. 1. A Danish singer, Christian Brøns, who got famous for living in the Danish Big Brother house in 2001. Shortly after leaving the house he got a record deal and he had his first and biggest hit to date, Du kan gøre hvad du vil. The song is a cover of Patrik Isaksson's Du Får Göra Som Du Vill. Christian has to date released 3 albums, the latest one in 2006.

The Rumour Said Fire

The Rumour Said Fire is an indie/folk band formed in Copenhagen, Denmark in 2008 by frontman Jesper Lidang. On September 21st 2009, they released their 4 song EP, which was later followed up by a re-release with 2 additional songs. Although still being a new act on the Danish music scene, they have already made a name for themselves with songs like Love For The Tortured and The Balcony. Thee Attacks

Thee Attacks are a rock band hailing from Aalborg in the Northern part of Denmark who have since relocated to Copenhagen. Terry, Johnny and Jimmy are founding members and in 2008 Ritchie joined. Thee Attacks play rock n' roll with soulful vocals complemented by a '65-era, Townshend-inspired guitarist. Grammy Award-winning producer Liam Watson (record producer) has produced their debut album and has also had his hands on their second album - due on the backend of the summer of 2012

Julie

Julie Ivalo Broberg Berthelsen (born June 7, 1979 in Aarhus, Denmark) is a Danish singer and songwriter. She is known largely for her success on the TV series Popstar, a Danish version of the popular American Idol. Although she finished in second place, she has become more popular and successful than the first place winner. She grew up in Nuuk, the capital of Greenland. This city has also become a popular nickname.

Labrador

There are at least two bands called Labrador. One is the project of Flemming Borby (Dannish composer) [www.myspace.com/labradormusic] and the other one is a Brazilian Rock Band [www.myspace.com/bandalabrador]. LABRADOR is the muical project of FLEMMING BORBY. Flemming started his carreer in Copenhagen, Denmark back in the middle of the eighties as a drummer in bands like The Poets (orignally Poets Of The Signature, in the US and Canada known as The Sealand Poets), Alter Ego and The Fence (later known as Janes Rejoice).
