Freda Payne

Freda Charcelia Payne (born September 19, 1942 in Detroit, Michigan) is an American singer and actress. As a teenager, she attended the Institute of Musical Arts; she soon began singing radio commercial jingles and took part in (and won many of) local TV and radio talent shows. In 1963, she moved to New York City and worked with many different singers including Quincy Jones, Pearl Bailey, and Bill Cosby.

Cayucas: Pronounced “ky-yook-us”, is the monikered homage to a sleepy little seaside town in San Luis Obispo County, California. That town, Cayucos, has hardly changed in the last 50 years, a far cry from the gentrified tourist traps parading showily down the nearby coastline. In the early 1960s, the surfing craze hit. There are two bands called The Embers: an American beach music band and a country rock band from Sussex in England. 1. The Embers are a popular beach music band that were popular during the 70's and 80's. They sang the famous "I Love Beach Music". The Embers have been Playing beach music around the Carolinas since 1958. The Band was formed by drummer and band leader Bobby Tomlinson. There first nation wide song was " Far Away Places" in 1969 on the MGM label.
