The June Brides were an English pop music group, formed in London in 1983, by Phil Wilson and Simon Beesley of International Rescue. Influenced by Postcard-label bands such as Josef K and punk-era bands such as The Desperate Bicycles and The Television Personalities, their mix of guitar pop with viola and trumpet formed a blueprint for many of the c86 bands that would follow. There are two artists named The Springfields. 1. The Springfields were a British pop-folk vocal trio in the early 1960s, who had success both in the UK, USA and Ireland, but are now best remembered as the launch pad for singer Dusty Springfield. The trio formed in 1960, when Mary "Dusty" O’Brien joined her brother Dion O'Brien and Tim Feild, who had been working as a duo,"The Kensington Squares". Dion became Tom Springfield, and Mary became Dusty Springfield. Feild was later replaced by Mike Hurst.
There are two artists with this name - Swedish and Japanese. The Swedish group Cinnamon was formed in 1993
Cinnamon’s music is hard to describe, you can hear echoes of Northern Soul, Kraftwerk as well as their European heritage with film, art and political turmoil.Cinnamon and their musical collective make music with visions beyond the year 2000.
Cinnamon does contemporary music perfumed with nostalgia. The twosomes fondness for 60s spy movies melt brilliantly with Diesen’s breathy voice.

The Secret History is an NYC-based band featuring cult songwriter Michael Grace, Jr. and his decade-long co-conspirators from the adored (but obscured) indiepop group My Favorite. The band features the debut of vocalist Lisa Ronson (daughter of glam rock legend Mick Ronson) supported by Jamie Babic. Grace's lyrics create drive-in theatres out of bare bedsit walls, while Ronson's singings alternates between the emotive and the plaintive -- one minute channeling Dusty Springfield, the next, Kirsty Macoll.
