DEFAMER’s inception began late 2006 with sole intention of creating uncompromising death metal. After locally circulating a self titled demo in 2007 and following up with the "In Winter It Began" demo in 2008, DEFAMER shot to national infamy playing interstate festivals, supporting the likes of VADER, CARCASS, and CANNIBAL CORPSE. January 2009 saw DEFAMER unleash the debut full length CHASM with reviews hailing it as a chaotic and relentless onslaught.
Although Evil Activities nowadays 'officially' consists only of Kelly van Soest (after Telly Luyks left the group in 2003) Two new members have joined this project:
- Michael Kramer (alias DJ Dazzler) -> MC
- Niels van Hoeckel (alias Chaosphere) -> Keyboard
However, they are only part of the live-act crew (during performance on stage). In the studio, Evil Activities is only Kelly van Soest.
Kelly is also better known as Max Enforcer in the hardstyle scene.

As a result, they have played at free parties and rave-orientated club nights as well as venues on the indie circuit. Though they have released material on other labels, the main outlet for their music is their own Blood Red Sounds imprint which has also released music by bands such as Mooz, Geisha and Hunting Lodge.

Throw them a house show in Philly or some other equally hip city so they can have fun and put holes in your ceiling. They have a self-titled album out that they recorded with the dude from Oktober Skyline in some abandoned warehouse or something while the dude was on a lot of shrooms. It's 14 tracks and 666 seconds of pure fun and awesome.
