Formed in late 2001, in Cardiff UK, the band began life when workmates Matt and Sion realised the both knew people interested in forming bands. The ingrediants were all there, and Paul ( Drummer), Chris (singer / gitarist), Sion ( bassist) and Matt (guitarist) began those first tentative Practices. Things went well, and so band names became an issue, and a problem. After passing on such names as Infinitum, Cheese on tost, Metalfest, Blue toe, and even being threatend to leave the name overshadow alone, a moniker for the quartet was found, and S.
Mixing R&B, funk, jazz and samba elements, Banda Black Rio, led by Oberdan Magalhães, were one of the first to undertake the fusion of Brazilian rhythms with international black music. Formed in 1976, the band's unique and pioneering samba-jazz-funk sound has attracted thousands of worshiping fans across generations. Originally formed in Portland, Oregon as a side project of It Prevails in 2006, American Me ended up going full time to pursue a heavier endeavor. Since getting signed to Rise Records, the band has released 2 full length albums, the most recent of which being Siberian Nightmare Machine, and 1 EP, with a 3rd full length due for release August 2012 through Rise Records. Cult of Luna are a Swedish Sludge/Post-Metal band formed in 1998 in Umeå, Sweden by guitarist/vocalist Johannes Persson and vocalist Klas Rydberg. After some member hunting and rehearsals CoL had its first line-up consisting of: Klas Rydberg, Johannes Persson, Magnus Lindberg, Erik Olofsson and Fredrik Renstrom. After a short period of time, Fredrik had to leave due to some personal difficulties.

1. Sparta is an alternative rock band which formed in El Paso, Texas in 2001. The band originally consisted of Jim Ward (vocals), Paul Hinojos (guitar) and Tony Hajjar (drums), all former members of At the Drive-In. After a brief stint with Erick Sanger, the three of them recruited Matt Miller, an El Paso native and then-bassist of Belknap to become the band's permanent bassist.
