Hungry Ghosts

Melbourne based. Recorded debut LP with Rowland S. Howard as producer. Followed up with Alone, Alone. Recorded in NYC with Sonic Youth's Steve Shelley. Also released self titled EP. Stopped playing in 2001. J.P. Shilo (ex- Hungry Ghosts) reappeared on the scene with a solo LP, also released through Steve Shelley, called As Happy as Sad is Blue. JP launched it in Melbourne at Manchester Lane on Jan. 17 2007 with support from the Dumb Earth. The line up included J.P. Shilo (Hungry Ghosts), Tim Howden (Hungry Ghosts) Mark Dawson (Black Eyed Susans) and Kiernan Box (Augie March)

Giovanni Gabrieli

Giovanni Gabrieli (c. 1554/1557–1612) was an Italian composer and organist. He was one of the most influential musicians of his time, and represents the culmination of the style of the Venetian School, at the time of the shift from Renaissance to Baroque idioms. He was probably born in Venice and probably studied with his uncle, the composer Andrea Gabrieli. He became the principal organist and composer at the church of San Marco in Venice, where his work made him one of the most noted composers in Europe.

Lisa Gerrard

Lisa Gerrard (born April 12, 1961) is an Irish-Australian musician, singer and composer who gained international renown as part of the music group Dead Can Dance together with Brendan Perry. Her career spans from 1981 to the present, and she has been involved in a wide range of projects. Gerrard received a Golden Globe award and her score for the 2000 film Gladiator received an Academy Award nomination. She both sings and is instrumentalist for much of her work, most prolifically using the (a Chinese hammered dulcimer).
