Technical Death Metal

There is more than one artist with this name: 1) A Canadian technical death metal band. Martyr's intricate and aggressive Technical Metal style is built on complex structures which allies a multitude of emotions from many different musical approaches. The music is not limited to the conventions of traditional metal music, the band striving to push those limits to create a more open-minded concept. HISTORY & ACTUAL LINEUP

DEFEATED SANITY was formed in 1994 as a project of Wolfgang Teske (guitar) and Lille Gruber (drums) with the intention to play the most brutal and intense death metal possible. The band started playing shows in 1996 with the help of session musicians Jonas Gruber (bass) and Robert Colnik (vocals). With this line-up the band also recorded 2 demos: Devoured By The Black (1996) and Withdrawn From Beauty (1998).

Dauntless is finnish death metal / thrash metal band. Dauntless was founded in 1991 by Sami Helle (vocals/guitar), under the name on Maniax, shortly thereafter joined by drummer Santeri Salmi and bassist Tuomo Tukkimäki. The first demo "Face The Fact" was released 4 years later, and the second, called "Prophecy...", in 1996. The music was some sort of hardcore-influenced thrash metal. In 1998, the initial band name was changed to Dauntless, and the music begun to seek its current shape.

Aeon of Horus is a progressive/technical death metal band formed in Canberra, Australia in 2006. Their style consists of of fast and heavy technical riffs, blasting drums and powerful growls. Aeon of Horus have released one self titled demo/EP and one full length album entitled, "The Embodiment of Darkness and Light" to positive acclaim. In June 2011 the band announced a new EP entitled EXILE. The EP will feature rerecorded and reinterpreted songs from the band's 2008 release The Embodiment of Darkness and Light as well as new tracks and some remixes.
