Slim Cessna's Auto Club is a country music band formed in 1993 in denver, Colorado. The constant in the band has been Slim Cessna, formerly a member of The Denver Gentlemen (along with David Eugene Edwards and Jeffery-Paul of 16 Horsepower). Their music includes elements of country blues, southern gospel, and other forms loosely grouped as Americana or alternative country. The Auto Club is sometimes labeled "country gothic" due to the juxtaposition of apocalyptic religious imagery with stories of alcohol, violence, and relationships gone awry.
Asrai hails from Rotterdam, Netherlands (also origin of Clan of Xymox) and originally formed in 1988 by sisters Margriet and Karin. They produced several demos between 1989 and 1994 which gained them national popularity and radio play both in Netherlands and central Europe. In 1997 they released their debut As Voices Speak on the Austrian Poison Ivy label (extremely indie ditribution channel) and issued a German release of the album later that year.

Theatres des Vampires was originally formed as a Melodic Black Metal band - from Rome, Italy. They gradually changed their style and evolved into Extreme Gothic Metal with some remainders of Black Metal influences. They are mostly noted for the predominant theme of Vampirism within their lyrics. Theatres des Vampires was founded as Sepolcrum in 1988. They changed name in 1995 after the third demo, Gather my blood forever, released under the monicker VII Arcano (totally unrelated to the actual Italian band VII Arcano which plays thrash metal).

They quickly became friends by sharing the same sense of humor, and later on Deron found out Jess played drums.
Xiu is a recent project based in Milan and formed by Oksana (Xiu). Oksana was born in Estonia, studied academic music in Russia. Academic knowledges had a deep impact in the creative process of her musical entity. During several years she also sang in the church's choir which is undoubtedly had influenced her work. Next to the writting of her first musical effort she contributing appearances for the minimal-synth band Newclear Waves. She is familiar with underground musical scenes which emerged during the 80s, from sonic minimal synth experiments to cold wave and post-punk.
The Danse Society are a post punk (the precursory term for Gothic rock ) group from Barsnley, England, active from 1980. The original line-up included Steve Rawlings (voice), Paul Nash (guitar), Lyndon Scarfe (keyboards), Tim Wright (bass) and Paul Gilmartin (drums). Lyndon Scarfe was replaced by David Whitaker (formally of band Music for Pleasure) after the Heaven is Waiting Album.
In 1980, they recorded and released their first 7" single, "Clock," on their own newly-formed record label, Society Records.
