Spiderbait

Spiderbait are an band formed in 1991 in Finley, New South Wales, Australia which consists of Mark "Kram" Maher (drums, lead vocals), Janet English (bass, vocals) and Damien Whitty (guitar). They have had two top ten albums and another three albums reach the Australian top 40. Their song Buy Me A Pony was #1 on the Triple J Hottest 100 for 1996, and the group enjoyed success with their 2004 #1 Australian hit cover of Black Betty.

Martin Gordon

Martin Gordon began his career in the Seventies with the Californian pop twins Sparks, who found some fleeting fame with UK hits This Town and Amateur Hour. He moved swiftly on and formed Jet (described by All Music Guide as the first supergroup of glam) and then Radio Stars, who were in fact Jet wearing different clothes. Radio Stars also achieved a modicum of success with Nervous Wreck, and then Gordon departed to Paris to work as house producer for Barclay Records, and to play bass for the Rolling Stones on studio dates.

Gov't Mule

Gov't Mule is a southern rock/jam band formed in 1994 as a side project to The Allman Brothers Band, but has taken on a life of its own. Like many jam bands, Gov't Mule does not get much radio airplay but is popular due to constant touring and intense fan loyalty. When the Allman Brothers Band reformed in 1989 in response to the popularity of the Dreams box set, Warren Haynes was added on lead guitar and Allen Woody on bass.

The Bicycle Thieves

The Bicycle Thieves hailed from South East London, forming in the mid 1980's and finally dispanding in the early 90's. A guitar rock band with a sound reminisant of REM or Lloyd Cole as well as reaching further back to the sounds of the Byrds, Love and Bob Dylan. Singles "Ghostdance"/"Louise" and especially "Waterfront" received good airplay on national radio one, London and local stations. The band played London venues such as the Marquee and Brixton Academy as well as up and down the country and France.
